I love historical romances. This was a book of contrasts, there was not even one average character in the book. Maddie with the innocence of a school girl seemingly giving way to all she was asked yet filled with a woman's passionate love and will with the strength of iron when needed. The great Logan Scott, actor extraordinaire and womanizer, arrogantly enforcing his will to obtain wealth and fame for his theater while without fanfare using his wealth and influence to aid those in need. In the end, love is the greatest contrast of all for it is strife that inspires greatness.
