Wow! This novel was horrifyingly outstanding. Rebekkah Barrow and Byron Montgomery spend most of their lives running, from jobs, places, each other, and from the place they both called home. But there was no escape for either of them. They were both key players in the contract between Claysville and Mr. D. (sometimes known as Death). In their inherited and inescapable positions of the Graveminder and the Undertaker it is their job to protect Claysville from the hungry dead and to protect the dead from the living.
